Mini bio
How it started.
Growing up in Kočevje, Müller made portraits by pressing their face into a scanner at their grandmother’s office. Photography school and fine arts studies followed. Self-portraits offered a subject whenever inspiration struck.
Finding a way in.
A 2023 self-portrait drew attention and, Müller thinks, may have led to their first fashion project. In Paris, making personal projects and reaching out to people helped them find work.
A wider audience.
The Ayo Edebiri cover for PAPER brought their painterly portraits to a wider audience in 2026. Magazine commissions now sit alongside personal work.
Made by hand.
Müller prints photographs, draws on and cuts into them, then photographs the altered prints. Rephotographing catches light on the paper’s texture. Accidents and layers are part of how each image develops.
