Mini bio

How it started.

Born in Jamaica and raised in North Manchester, Javeno moved from professional cricket into community exercise classes funded by Manchester City Council. His work grew around making people feel welcome and capable.

The people at J7.

His commitment to inclusive exercise began at 16, when he offered to help a boy in a wheelchair at the gym and invited another wheelchair user into a cricket game. At J7 Health Centre, he provides free sessions for people with disabilities and illness, as well as older people.

Sharing their progress.

His videos bring the people he trains to a wider audience. A 2023 clip of Kiera, who was recovering from a brain tumour, walking into J7 reached more than 23 million views, according to his publisher. His memoir tells the stories behind that work; his podcast opens up conversations about confidence, setbacks and resilience.
