Mini bio

Before the camera.

Jeff’s route into fitness began with studying the body. He earned degrees at the University of Connecticut, then worked as the New York Mets’ head physical therapist and assistant strength coach from 2006 to 2008. His official biography names players he coached, including Tom Glavine, Pedro Martinez and David Wright.

How ATHLEAN-X grew.

In his own account for YouTube, Jeff dates his first ATHLEAN-X uploads to 2009. He initially taught athletic skills such as throwing faster and hitting harder. As more people found the videos, he broadened his focus to helping everyday viewers build muscle, strength and confidence in movement. YouTube reported that the main channel had passed 12 million subscribers in September 2021.

What fans come for.

His videos connect exercise demonstrations with explanations of anatomy and technique. Structured programs such as AX-1 extend that teaching into a training plan. His 2026 Huberman Lab appearance explored the smaller muscles, movement habits and practical choices that support years of training.
