Mini bio
How it started.
Jeffree grew up in Orange County, California. In a NYLON interview, Jeffree recalled experimenting with their mother’s makeup at 12, then wearing it to school. MySpace became an early home for their fashion, photographs and music, bringing an audience before the beauty channel grew.

The music years included the Vans Warped Tour and the 2009 album Beauty Killer, featuring Nicki Minaj on “Lollipop Luxury.” Jeffree opened Jeffree Star Cosmetics in November 2014, beginning with three liquid lipstick shades. Product reveals, tutorials and reviews became a central part of their YouTube work.
Collections and collaborations.
In 2019, Jeffree and Shane Dawson released The Conspiracy Collection, with its development shared through online videos. More recent work includes a Beauty Killer anniversary music release and makeup collections inspired by ranch life, night owls and extraterrestrials. Jeffree also shares life in Wyoming, where Star Yak Ranch provides a setting beyond the makeup studio.
