Mini bio

How it started.

Jenn grew up around Los Angeles music and vintage-shopping culture. In 2010, Jenn and friend Sarah started making Clothes Encounters videos to share their interest in fashion. Jenn told 2020AVE that they saw room for more fashion content on YouTube and began filming with a point-and-shoot camera.

Finding an audience.

Thrift-store style helped Clothes Encounters connect with students looking for affordable outfit ideas. After moving away for university in 2011, Jenn continued the channel alone. In the 2020AVE interview, Jenn remembered being invited to New York Fashion Week by Chictopia as an early moment when the hobby began to feel like a career.

Making things of their own.

Jenn collaborated with ColourPop on the 2016 Jenn Ne Sais Quoi makeup collection, then launched Eggie in 2017. The clothing line drew on Jenn’s personal style and Korean heritage, with some gender-neutral pieces.

What fans find now.

The channel now makes room for home cooking, reading and the everyday work of motherhood alongside style. Recent uploads range from Korean recipes to book reviews, morning routines and candid reflections on life at 36.
