How it started.
Before NVIDIA, Jensen worked at AMD and LSI Logic and studied electrical engineering at Oregon State and Stanford. Their first job was at a Denny’s in Portland at 15, washing dishes, clearing tables and serving customers.
An idea over coffee.
In 1993, Jensen, Chris Malachowsky and Curtis Priem met at a Silicon Valley Denny’s to discuss a chip for realistic 3D graphics on personal computers. Jensen has led NVIDIA as president and CEO since its founding.
From graphics to AI.
NVIDIA’s 1999 GPU was a milestone in its gaming story. Its graphics and accelerated computing work later became central to the company’s AI platforms. Jensen now presents those developments in public keynotes, from GeForce announcements at CES to computing and robotics demonstrations at GTC.
