How it started.
Jo grew up in West Columbia, Texas, lived in Houston and Los Angeles, and eventually settled in Austin. While working in pharmaceutical research, she attended esthetics school at night to learn more about skin and product ingredients.
Finding PeaceLoveGlam.
After considering a beauty bar, Jo found another direction: a blog. She told Beauty Independent that the name Peace Love Glam came to her while meditating. She gave her existing Instagram account a clearer focus on beauty, fashion, health and her own life.
Growing a community.
By her 2020 appearance on The Lucy Liu Show, Jo’s story included growing from 7,000 to 140,000 Instagram followers in three years and being featured in People three times. She also co-founded Glam Soiree, bringing Austin women together to support one another and set intentions.

Jo’s work centers on beauty, style and wellness in midlife. Her agency lists her among the creators selected for the 2024 Ulta Beauty Collective. Her Ulta videos give fans a closer look at the skincare, makeup and fragrances in her routine.
