Mini bio
How it started.
Before becoming an independent researcher, Josh spent 25 years working in enterprise technology, across product development, marketing and sales. He founded Bersin & Associates in 2001 to study corporate learning, then expanded into recruiting, leadership and the wider world of HR.
Building a wider platform.
Deloitte acquired his company in 2012. As a Deloitte partner, Josh became a principal author of its annual Human Capital Trends report. He retired from Deloitte in 2018, founded the Josh Bersin Academy in 2019 and assembled a new research and advisory team in 2020.
From research to readers.
His books turn workplace research into practical guidance. The Blended Learning Book appeared in 2004, followed by The Training Measurement Book in 2008. Irresistible arrived in 2022, bringing together seven principles for building organizations around people.
What he is exploring now.
Josh continues to share articles and podcast conversations about work, leadership and technology. His company introduced the Galileo AI assistant in 2024. In 2026, his work includes HR 2030 research and Superpowered, a forthcoming book with Kathi Enderes about people and organizations in the AI era.
