Mini bio
How it started.
Kai began sharing personal style on Tumblr as a teenager. At Wiley College, they created Urban Flow Magazine to spotlight fashionable college students. A paid modeling offer from a plus-size boutique after college helped turn outfit posts into a business.
Making it a career.
Kai told DFW Running Talk that they left a public-health outreach job in 2022 to create full time. Fashion content grew to include beauty and everyday life. In a 2024 blog post, Kai reflected on that gradual journey and the self-doubt that came with it.
Finding a running community.
Documenting half-marathon training in Curvy Girl Running Chronicles brought new people into Kai’s audience. That connection grew into Sweaty & Steady, a Dallas club welcoming curvy women, beginners, run-walkers and slower runners.
