How it started.
Anna grew up in the suburbs of Cleveland and worked in technology as a product manager. She began sharing fashion casually on Instagram, without planning to turn it into a career. In an interview with The Newsette, she described her earlier work at Sprinklr, building software for content strategy.
Finding her audience.
Her early YouTube work mixed clothing hauls with conversations about fat-shaming. After she began posting YouTube Shorts in June 2021, her channel added more than 500,000 subscribers and reached nearly 100 million monthly views in January 2022. She told Tubefilter that short videos were also bringing viewers to her longer work.
Beyond the outfit.
Her 2018 book, A Life Full of Glitter, combines personal stories with ideas about optimism and self-acceptance. In 2025 she began co-hosting The Medical Detectives with orthopedic surgeon Dr. Erin Nance, sharing patients’ stories and asking questions from her own perspective as a patient.
Making room for fans.
In her 2025 News Creator Corps essay, Anna described community as central to her career. She recalled organizing a restaurant fundraiser after Texas floods and working with followers to support a women’s shelter, teachers and children.
