Mini bio
How it started.
Mona grew up drawn to fashion, watching Fashion TV and imagining herself on the runway. Modelling offers from local brands during a stay in Canada helped turn that ambition into work. She also built a career in makeup through Varonica Makeup Artistry, including bridal makeup.
The runway breakthrough.
In 2017, Mona walked for Wendell Rodricks at Lakmé Fashion Week, a breakthrough widely recognised as a first for an openly trans plus-size model in India. She had already appeared in regional fashion shows before reaching that stage.
