Mini bio

How it started.

The aromas of his parents’ kitchen helped inspire Kenny to cook, according to the story behind his Hedley & Bennett apron. Famous Birthdays dates his start on TikTok to August 2022. He built his work around Asian recipes, cooking sounds and music.

Finding his audience.

By June 2024, Kenny led Brandwatch’s selected Instagram food-creator ranking by average engagements. His japchae short became one of his widely watched recipes, and the October 2025 short “chopsticks = aura” had passed 200 million YouTube views by this research date.

More time in the kitchen.

Alongside quick recipe edits, Kenny shares longer videos about everyday meals. His 2024 cooking Q&A features mapo tofu, while his 2026 videos include a week of eating alone and cooking to make an interesting stretch of life feel better.

A family touch.

In 2026, Kenny collaborated with Hedley & Bennett on a black denim apron. His handwritten “uwansum?” appears on the chest, and his older brother Jack Song drew the aromatics embroidered into the design.
