Mini bio

Before the Tank.

Kevin’s career began behind the camera. After earning an MBA at Ivey in 1980 and working briefly at Nabisco, Kevin became a founding partner in Special Event Television, making sports programming including Don Cherry’s Grapevine. SoftKey Software followed in 1986. The business expanded through acquisitions, became The Learning Company, and was acquired by Mattel in 1999.

Becoming Mr. Wonderful.

Joining Dragons’ Den in 2006 and Shark Tank in 2009 brought Kevin’s direct approach to business to a much wider audience. The TV work sits alongside books about money and entrepreneurship, including Cold Hard Truth on Men, Women, and Money. On YouTube, fans can also find Chef Wonderful food videos and conversations about collecting.

A new kind of role.

In 2025, Kevin moved into a scripted film role as Milton Rockwell in Josh Safdie’s Marty Supreme. The part brought Kevin into a cast with Timothée Chalamet and Gwyneth Paltrow, and led to a shared cast nomination at the 2026 Actor Awards.
