Mini bio
How it started.
Kevin made his first web pages in high school in the late 1990s. After studying film and urban studies, he trained in graphic design. Print design work led to freelance website design, and he found he enjoyed building sites even more.
From classroom to camera.
An old teacher invited him to teach at his former school. After two years of introductory web classes, he wanted room to explore deeper topics. He began uploading to YouTube in October 2016 as a reason to keep learning.
Finding his audience.
Early CSS Grid videos helped his channel gain traction. Kevin credits Jen Simmons and Rachel Andrew with teaching him much of what went into those lessons. Today his channel has more than a million subscribers, alongside courses and the General Musings podcast.
