How it started.
Born and raised in Melbourne, La’Tecia built an online presence through photography and makeup. A 2020 profile, drawing on their agency biography, describes buying a camera in 2015, teaching themselves to use it and moving from street photography to self-portraits and beauty tutorials. Their first agency signing followed in 2016.
Finding a voice.
Their story reached wider audiences in 2017 through coverage of their changing relationship with their body. Speaking on The Morning Show, La’Tecia described feeling happier after moving away from restrictive routines and putting less emphasis on numbers. Fashion, beauty and body confidence became connected parts of their public work.
From posts to the runway.
By 2019, La’Tecia had walked at New York Fashion Week and closed Aqua Blu’s Miami Swim Week show in a bespoke Angelina Alvarez crown. Their 2022 PrettyLittleThing edit brought that interest in confident dressing into a brand collaboration.
