Mini bio
How it started.
Lindsay began her clinical career in inpatient psychiatric care and partial hospitalization at Lurie Children’s Hospital. After working at other practices, she opened her own in October 2019. She grew up in the Chicagoland area and describes herself as a first-generation college graduate.
Finding her people.
Girls in a mental health workshop encouraged Lindsay to join TikTok in March 2020. She first made videos for them, then reached a wider audience with approachable explanations of therapy and mental health. In an interview with The Daily Dot, she described wanting younger therapists to find their own style, too.
Beyond short videos.
Her work now includes speaking, Take TWO with fellow therapist Stacy McCarthy, and a collaboration with Harvard researcher Dr. Laura Marciano on HappyB 2.0. The research explores social media and teen wellbeing, including loneliness and happiness. Lindsay helps the team think about reaching potential participants through social media.
