How it started.
Before sharing beauty favorites online, Marianna worked in entertainment PR and television hosting. Born in Germany and raised in Ohio, she moved to Los Angeles to pursue media work. She uploaded her first YouTube video in 2012 and launched the Life With Me blog on February 1, 2014.
From recommendations to a brand.
Marianna and fellow creator Lauren Ireland began developing a skincare line in 2016. Summer Fridays launched on March 7, 2018 with a single product, the Jet Lag Mask. It sold out soon after launch and became a Sephora website skincare bestseller within two weeks. Lip Butter Balm followed in 2020.

Marianna launched Life with Marianna during the pandemic to make room for longer conversations with her network of founders, creators and friends. In 2024 she became creative director of Revolve’s L’Academie, bringing her everyday style into a fashion collection. Her newsletter now offers another place for beauty favorites, travel diaries and personal reflections.
