Mini bio

How it started.

Rawan grew up in Kuwait and was studying in Los Angeles when Instagram became public in 2015. In a 2018 interview with The National, Rawan recalled that a magazine comparison to Brooke Shields brought unexpected attention. By that interview, the account had reached three million followers.

Beauty became a business.

Fashion and beauty partnerships followed, including becoming the face of Maybelline in the Middle East in 2016. Rawan’s own portfolio lists work as a contributing beauty editor at Velvet Magazine from February 2017. In 2018, Rawan launched the makeup line House of Rawan while continuing law studies in London.

Finding a voice.

Rawan told Harper’s Bazaar that the uncertainty of the pandemic helped prompt a move into professional music. The first single, Kan Ya Ma Kan, arrived in 2021, followed by the Daffy collaboration Adios in 2022. Acting brought roles in the Kuwaiti drama She’s Gone With Water and the political thriller The Deep State.

A more personal chapter.

In 2026, Rawan began The Healing Diaries on YouTube, discussing starting again, time in jail, single motherhood and self-love. The series sits alongside the music, including September single Mish Hasmaak and a Kifak video premiere scheduled for November 5.
