Mini bio

A family passion.

James grew up around motoring. In his Gorkana interview, he recalled a father who raced Formula Ford, an uncle who specialised in Aston Martins and a grandfather who sold classic cars. Before he could afford supercars himself, he attended shows and photographed them.

Picking up a camera.

He started Mr JWW on YouTube in 2015 with an iPhone. An early project with the Ras Al Khaimah tourist board let him film on a closed mountain road with a Ferrari 488 GTB and McLaren 650S. By his 2017 Gorkana interview, that film had passed two million views.

Building beyond YouTube.

His work expanded into presenting and writing for The Sunday Times. He collaborated with Q by Aston Martin on a special-edition DBX, introduced on his channel in 2021. In February 2024, Koenigsegg London announced its opening with James as co-owner.

Conversations for fellow enthusiasts.

Alongside the drives and factory visits, James hosted Full Chat with MrJWW. Guests included David Gandy, Coldplay’s Guy Berryman, Carl Hartley and Bruno Senna. His interviews bring the people behind the cars into the same conversation as the machinery.
