Mini bio
How it started.
Nichola’s interest in skincare began with watching their mother and grandmother care for their skin. Beauty therapy studies and a degree in biology and physiology followed. Their agency biography also describes a lymphatic drainage apprenticeship in Malaysia.
From backstage to regular clients.
Working as a manicurist at fashion shows gave Nichola a way into facial treatments. In a 2014 interview, they recalled trying massage techniques on models who went on to become regular clients. Their agency lists backstage work for Roland Mouret, Carlos Miele and Matthew Williamson.
The signature treatment.
Nichola became known for the Inner Facial, combining external facial massage with work inside the mouth. Their client list has included Gwyneth Paltrow, Gisele Bündchen and Scarlett Johansson. Alongside treatments, Nichola shares techniques through interviews, guided demonstrations and a sculpting facial massage video tutorial.
Building Hopothecary.
Nichola co-founded Hopothecary with Jo Asquith. The pair began exploring hops during lockdown in Kent, bringing together Nichola’s skincare experience and Asquith’s background in natural formulations. The brand now offers hop-based supplements and skincare.
