How it started.
Born in Berkeley, Nicole was adopted by Lionel Richie and Brenda Harvey Richie at nine. Her public breakthrough came in 2003, when she and childhood friend Paris Hilton starred in The Simple Life, swapping Los Angeles comforts for unfamiliar jobs and life in rural Arkansas.
Building her own house.
Nicole founded House of Harlow 1960 in 2008, beginning with costume jewelry and expanding into a lifestyle brand. She reclaimed full creative control in fall 2024 and introduced a new chapter as House of Harlow. Jewelry remains central to that work, from the Nova fine jewelry collection to her revived Sunburst designs.
Keeping the comedy going.
Her screen work includes Candidly Nicole, the sitcom Great News and Nikki Fre$h, the comedy series built around her rapper alter ego. In 2024, she reunited with Paris for The Encore. She has also written two novels, The Truth About Diamonds and Priceless.
