Mini bio

How it started.

Phil grew up in Miami and began dancing at nine. His STEEZY instructor biography traces that start to the African Heritage Cultural Arts Center, followed by training in lyrical, modern and contemporary dance. Joining the local Skool Boyz group introduced him to hip-hop.

Finding his audience.

He moved to Los Angeles in 2013 to pursue choreography and production. His routines found an audience online: a 2017 Resolute interview highlighted his choreography to Kendrick Lamar’s “Humble,” which reached more than 500,000 views within five days on Tim Milgram’s channel.

Families on the floor.

In 2017, Phil founded The Parent Jam to get children and their families dancing together. Those online classes inspired Disney Fam Jam, which premiered in 2020 with Phil as executive producer and choreographer. He later played Harold, the friendly mummy in Under Wraps and its sequel.

Still teaching.

Teaching remains central to his work. His current official site lists worldwide masterclasses, competition-team choreography and a place on the Press Play Dance Convention faculty. His own channel continues to carry new routines and projects such as the dance film EGO.
