Christine Riccio

Finding her readers.

Originally from New Jersey, Christine began making comedy videos about books in 2010 to share the reading obsession she had carried since childhood. Her videos grew into PolandbananasBOOKS, where book discussions sit alongside sketches and vlogs about writing her own novels. She studied film and television at Boston University.

Reading together.

Meeting Jesse George and Kat O’Keefe at VidCon in 2013 helped turn online friendships into Booksplosion. They wanted an excuse to read together each month, and built a book club around that shared commitment. Christine’s mix of comedy, reading conversations, and collaborations became the foundation of her work in BookTube.

From booktalks to books.

Her debut novel, Again, but Better, arrived in 2019 and became a New York Times bestseller. Better Together followed in 2021, bringing estranged sisters into a story about swapping lives and repairing family ties. Attached at the Hip, published in 2024, drew on her love of Survivor for a romance set inside a reality competition. Thirty, Flirty, and Forever Alone followed in January 2026.
