How it started.
Before the marketing lessons and books, Rachel worked as a hairstylist. In her BizNinja interview, she recalled a salon client asking for help with her husband’s business on social media. That small job opened the door to agency and marketing work.
The post people shared.
In 2016, a post defending her small wedding ring brought Rachel wider attention. She explained that the ring’s meaning came from the love behind it. That personal storytelling became part of the approach fans would recognize in her business content.
Teaching what she learned.
Rachel founded Social Media United and went on to teach freelancers, creators, and business owners. Her podcast Social Media Secrets explores content and business growth. Her 2022 book Unfiltered combines her own story with advice on starting a business, setting boundaries, and defining success on your own terms.
A new chapter.
In September 2026, Rachel announced that she was closing her businesses and stepping away from being a public figure on social media. She thanked her community and said she would continue writing books, with occasional posts sharing insights.
