Mini bio
How it started.
Rohin trained in London and Cambridge before building a second outlet for his curiosity through Medlife Crisis. His first video, uploaded in 2017, explained how Leonardo da Vinci’s ideas about closing heart valves stood up to modern science. The Parallax interview traces that beginning and his path into cardiology.
Finding his audience.
Medlife Crisis grew especially popular during the pandemic. By his 2022 TEDxNewcastle appearance, the channel had reached 500,000 subscribers. His videos mix medical explanations with comedy, including subjects such as COVID-19, diet and pharmaceuticals.
What keeps him curious.
On his website, Rohin describes a taste for overlooked science, the limits of modern medicine and forgotten medical history. Alongside his videos, he has made long-form interviews: his 2023 conversation with ageing researcher Andrew Steele also launched the podcast Still Practising.
