From finance to fashion.
Before building The Style and More, Samidha studied banking and insurance at HR College and economics at Mumbai University, then worked as a credit underwriter at Tata Capital. In an ETimes interview, Samidha described leaving the desk job, trying fashion design at SNDT and discovering a stronger interest in styling.
Finding an audience.
Early work grew through Instagram and barter collaborations. In a 2018 interview carried by The Navhind Times, Samidha said paid brand offers began after the account passed 10,000 followers. Budget-conscious style was already central in a 2016 Youth Incorporated interview, which highlighted street shopping and a love of blazers.
A bigger fashion stage.
Samidha appeared in Myntra Fashion Superstar season 3 in 2021 and joined Myntra’s Style Squad in 2022. In 2023, the Myntra Glammys named Samidha Stylesquad Creator of the Year. The fashion reels include denim finds, wedding looks and holiday outfits, with product details that help viewers find the pieces.
