Mini bio

How it started.

Sara grew up shy about singing in front of people. While studying economics, she sang with the college band Teeen and recorded advertising jingles to help fund their songs. Her early work connected her with Karachi’s T2F, NAPA and musician Ahsan Bari.

Finding her voice.

After singing backing vocals on Coke Studio Season 7, Sara stepped forward for Ae Dil with Ali Zafar in Season 8. She returned for Meri Meri with Rizwan Butt in Season 9. Acting was already part of her life through Nida Butt’s Grease, in which she played Marty Maraschino.

Across stages and screens.

Sara trained at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts and earned her MFA at Juilliard in 2023. Her later work includes Wendy Stratford on Law & Order, the Venice-selected short The Curfew, and New York productions Garside’s Career and Fish.
