Mini bio
How it started.
Sarah grew up on the Isle of Wight and built an audience by sharing song covers on YouTube. At 14, they secretly borrowed their mum’s guitar to learn Taylor Swift songs. At 18, they moved to London to study songwriting, later leaving the course to focus on their own music.
Finding their own path.
“Call Me Out” and the Caught Up EP introduced Sarah’s original music in 2017. A record deal followed, but the label soon dropped them. Sarah continued independently with the mini-album And Now, We’re Shining in 2020. During lockdown, they returned to the island, built a home studio and developed production skills alongside writing for other artists.
The bbyclose chapter.
Sarah also records as bbyclose. Their collaboration “Kisses” with BL3SS and CamrinWatsin reached No. 5 on the UK Official Singles Chart. Collaborations with FISHER and Sub Focus followed, alongside solo tracks including “ego,” “dream about u,” “temptations” and “make u mine.”
