Mini bio

How it started.

Schlatt began with gaming uploads in 2013. Early work on the jschlatt channel included short internet comedy, including the 2018 video “elon r u ok”. Minecraft’s SMPLive server became a breakout chapter in 2019, bringing the dry humor to a wider audience.

A familiar voice.

Minecraft, viewer-submitted bedrooms and setups, and comedy conversations became recurring parts of Schlatt’s work. The podcast credits include Sleep Deprived and Chuckle Sandwich, the latter launched with Ted Nivison and Charlie Slimecicle in 2021.

From My Way to Christmas.

A 2023 cover of “My Way” followed the spread of AI covers using Schlatt’s voice. Fan requests for more singing led to A Very 1999 Christmas in 2024. Its eight covers were arranged by Tom Scott; the 2025 deluxe edition added three songs produced by Hal Rosenfeld.

New places to listen and watch.

In 2026, Schlatt voiced Kaboodle in GLITCH’s Gameoverse pilot and shared a live show recording on Schlatt & Co. The channel also carried Minecraft videos and a Japan vlog that Schlatt filmed and edited.
