Mini bio
How it started.
Roussel launched ScienceClic in December 2014 while still at school. Reading Stephen Hawking and watching documentaries fed his interest in physics, but classroom formulas left him wanting pictures. He already made video-editing and visual-effects tutorials, so he brought those skills to science.
Finding an audience.
In his NumWorks interview, he recalled a recommendation from Doc Seven that tripled his subscribers in a day. It helped him see a possible profession in the channel. He later expanded beyond French, with English and Spanish versions reaching viewers around the world.
The craft behind the explanations.
His official CV credits him with writing, motion design, voice, and music for ScienceClic. He studied physics and mathematics at Sorbonne University, then theoretical physics at Cambridge, specializing in general relativity. His Patreon introduction describes his aim as giving viewers intuition through drawings, animations, and simulations.
Beyond the channel.
His illustrated book Les Grandes Lois de l’Univers appeared in 2023, followed by a Flammarion paperback in 2025. He also shares calculations through ScienceClic Plus and has brought visual physics explanations to public lectures, including a 2025 quantum physics presentation with Alexander Thomas.
