How it started.
Raised in Brooklyn in a primarily vegan household, Shamara grew up with an interest in wellness and skincare. After 15 years working in fashion and art, they trained at Atelier Esthétique Institute of Esthetics. Discovering microcurrent helped point them toward a new career.
Building SB Skin.
SB Skin was founded in 2013. Shamara began seeing clients in their apartment and built the practice through personal connections and word of mouth. Regular appointments with people working on camera helped establish their reputation for microcurrent facials.
