Mini bio

Before the pillow talks.

Shereene trained in medicine at George Washington University and completed her dermatology training at Tufts Medical Center in Boston. She went on to practice in New York and founded Idriss Dermatology in Manhattan.

How fans found her.

In 2018, she began posting skincare videos from bed on Instagram. She says the idea grew out of time spent correcting online misinformation in appointments. Patients shared her videos, more questions arrived, and the PillowtalkDerm community took shape.

From videos to formulas.

Her own experience with melasma helped shape Major Fade, the three-product collection that introduced PillowtalkDerm Skincare in 2022. The brand became Dr. Idriss in January 2024 and reached Sephora shelves that March. She continues to teach through videos, interviews and the Skin Health series on MasterClass.
