Mini bio
How it started.
Born and raised in Karachi, Siyab studied medicine at Weill Cornell Medical College in Qatar and moved to the United States in 2016 for medical training. He completed internal medicine residency in Cleveland, cardiology training at Tulane and interventional cardiology training at NYU. During the pandemic, he began sharing scientific information about COVID-19 on social media.
Finding his audience.
His pandemic videos brought him into public conversations about misinformation. West Virginia Public Broadcasting profiled him in 2022 as a member of Team Halo, the international group of medical professionals answering COVID-19 misinformation online. His work now centers on cardiovascular education as well as challenging misleading health claims.

In Julia Angwin’s research on online creators, Siyab described viewers tagging him in suspicious videos and asking him to respond. He said he avoided brand deals to protect credibility.
