Mini bio
How it started.
Sohee began coaching in 2012. Her own experiences with disordered eating helped shape an interest in the psychology of food and exercise. As she told REP Fitness, blogging began as a side project before becoming a way to help others understand similar struggles.
Finding her audience.
Bodybuilding.com picked up her writing within months of her starting to blog, according to her REP Fitness interview. Her work grew into SoheeFit and the Eat. Lift. Thrive. approach, with a focus on strength, sustainable habits and a healthier relationship with food.
From coaching to research.
She published Eat. Lift. Thrive. in 2017 and completed her sports science PhD at Auckland University of Technology in 2025. Her research compared circuit training with traditional strength training in trained women. She also created Momentum by Sohee, which offers monthly workouts for home and gym.
Life on the microphone.
In November 2025, Sohee and Ben Carpenter introduced All or Something. The show brings together their fitness education, guest interviews and everyday experiences, including running a marathon during pregnancy and adjusting to parenthood.
