Mini bio

How it started.

Sunna says Tonic grew out of his own frustration with feeling run down and repeatedly catching colds despite exercising and thinking he ate well. He began researching nutrition and speaking to health professionals, then founded Tonic Health in 2019. His early founder account recalls juggling the business with a full-time corporate job.

Finding his audience.

Fans came to know him through short videos filmed in supermarket aisles, comparing foods and examining the claims on their packaging. In a 2026 interview, he described the supermarket series as something that had been running for around three and a half years. His focus was on helping viewers with their shopping before asking them to buy his own products.

Beyond the supermarket.

His work now includes The Unprocessed Truth, where he talks with guests about nutrition, food marketing and health. New River published The Good, The Bad and The Healthy on 1 January 2026, and his literary agency identifies it as a Sunday Times bestseller. A follow-up cookbook, Recipes for Real Life, is available to preorder, with publication scheduled for 31 December 2026.
