How it started.
Before YouTube, Tati worked as an image consultant and makeup artist. They created GlamLifeGuru in November 2010, building a channel around beauty reviews and tutorials.
Finding an audience.
In an interview with The Kit, Tati described a slow climb rather than one breakout video. Posting five videos a week helped the channel grow. By early 2016, it had reached one million subscribers.
Making the products.
Tati collaborated with Birchbox on Love of Color, then launched Tati Beauty in 2019 with the Textured Neutrals Vol. 1 palette. The cosmetics brand closed in 2021. A new chapter followed with DETAILS By TATI brushes in 2025 and Unfair Advantage in 2026.

The channel continues to move between affordable discoveries and luxury makeup, with new-product tests, foundation comparisons, dupes and products Tati would buy again.
