Mini bio
How it started.
Before the books and interviews, Tim built BrainQUICKEN, a supplement business inspired by his own spending on sports supplements. He has described asking coworkers to prepay for bottles so he could fund an initial manufacturing run.
The breakout.
The 4-Hour Workweek arrived in 2007 after 26 publishers turned it down. Its ideas about designing work around the life you want found a wide audience, and it became a No. 1 New York Times bestseller.
From experiments to conversations.
Tim launched The Tim Ferriss Show in April 2014 with interviews featuring Kevin Rose and Josh Waitzkin. The show explores the habits and methods of people across business, art, sport, and other fields, and has passed one billion downloads. Tools of Titans grew out of those conversations.
Still making things.
His projects now include COYOTE, a card game created with Elan Lee and Exploding Kittens, and THE NO BOOK, a writing collaboration with Neil Strauss. Fans can follow his ongoing experiments through the podcast, blog, and 5-Bullet Friday newsletter.
