How it started.
Young Desi came through Pakistan’s underground Punjabi rap scene. The Coke Studio biography preserved by EverybodyWiki traces his beginnings to recording with an inexpensive microphone after his family moved to Faisalabad in 2009. It names Bohemia, G-Unit and Snoop Dogg among his early influences.
Finding his audience.
His appearance on Bohemia’s Game Time in 2016 helped bring him wider attention. Collaborations with Bilal Saeed and Tony Kakkar followed. In 2018, he joined Lyari Underground for Rap Hai Saara on Coke Studio, writing and performing the Punjabi rap while the group contributed Balochi and English verses.

His rap features include Tony Kakkar’s Ludo and the Luka Chuppi version of Coca Cola, plus Fawad Khan’s 2019 PSL anthem Khel Deewano Ka. He later worked with Faris Shafi on Big Moves from Vengeance and reunited with Bilal Saeed for Still Waiting on the 2024 album Superstar.
