Mini bio
Finding his voice.
Before ZDoggMD, Zubin Damania trained at UCSF and Stanford and spent a decade working as a hospitalist at Stanford. Comedy ran alongside medicine: he performed stand-up for medical audiences and used humor to connect with people.
From burnout to music videos.
He began making satirical rap videos in 2010. In an American Medical Association interview, he described the videos as a way to reconnect with himself, educate patients, and speak about a healthcare system that had left him burned out. The audience grew to include nurses, physicians, physician assistants, dentists, and veterinarians.
Putting the ideas into practice.
In Las Vegas, he founded Turntable Health, a subscription-based primary care clinic that he led from 2013 to 2017. His Health 3.0 message emphasized relationships and team-based care. On screen, songs such as Readmission and EHR State of Mind turned familiar workplace frustrations into musical comedy.
Where the conversations are now.
The ZDoggMD Show carries his interviews and live conversations. Recent episodes focus on consciousness, meditation, non-duality, and spiritual seeking, while retaining his humor and personal reflections. His official link page now describes him as a former Stanford hospital doctor exploring the non-dual nature of consciousness.
