Mini bio
How it started.
Growing up with Pakistani pop and rock, Abdullah began singing as a child. His mother gave him his first guitar for his 12th birthday. Before building an audience with online covers, he played in Islamabad’s underground heavy rock scene.
Finding his own voice.
YouTube covers brought him listeners and concerts across Pakistan. His original “Awaz Do” reached a wider audience through Nescafé Basement Season 4. “Dastaan” followed with a video directed by Usman Mukhtar, and he later sang “Tu Aaja” for VELO Sound Station.
A change of direction.
In October 2022, he announced that he was leaving music as a full-time profession for religious reasons. His later work has focused on devotion and reflection. Freebird Records describes the 2025 EP Sabr Zikr Shukar as a project about that spiritual transition.
Songs for quieter moments.
His recent channel pairs naats and Qur’an recitations with Islamic lullabies. For “La Ilaha Illallah,” he drew on a tune his mother used to sing to him, carrying a childhood memory into recordings for another generation.
