How it started.
Adam began I AM GALLA in 2009 while still in high school. In a 2014 GQ interview, Adam described starting the blog at 17 as a hobby, with inspiration coming from travel, other cultures and classic screen and music figures.
Finding an audience.
The personal style hobby became a full-time job. In a 2017 PlayHaus interview, Adam recalled freelancing in New York and applying for jobs at Apple before building a fashion business with a seven-person team. I AM GALLA won Best Mens Fashion Blog at the 2014 Bloglovin’ Awards.
More ways to create.
By a September 2024 interview with PEDRO, Adam was working across floristry, modelling and production. The conversation describes an audience that grew organically in the mid-2010s and a more relaxed approach to posting. Recent Studio Galla updates bring floral arrangements and photographic studies into that creative world.
