Mini bio
How it started.
Alan grew up in Dallas and began acting as a teenager. At USC, studying screenwriting and business, a friend introduced Alan to Reach, a club for student content creators. Having loved Vine, Alan decided to commit to TikTok when the platform offered another way to make and share comedy.
Finding an audience.
Alan began posting on TikTok in late 2019 and pursued it full-time during the pandemic in 2020. Sharing the videos on YouTube and Instagram helped the sketches reach more people. YouTube Shorts became a major part of that growth.
Building a universe.
By 2023, Alan was also making Alan’s Universe, a scripted high school series. The stories bring together romance, comedy, fantasy and music, with recurring performers including Chelsea Sik, Haven Everly and Michelle Park. In a 2024 interview, Alan described treating the production like television, lighting every shot and working with a 25-person crew.
What comes next.
The storytelling now reaches beyond the original channel. In January 2026, Netflix announced a new series with Alan and HYBE America, following aspiring idols who form a band. That July, Netflix expanded the relationship to include Alan’s Universe episodes.
