Mini bio

Friends with a camera.

Alex grew up in Kentucky and North Carolina, where he met Roi Fabito. He joined Wassabi Productions in 2006, making sketches and challenges with his friend. Their 2012 Call Me Maybe parody, featuring the characters Rolanda and Richard, became their breakout video.

Keeping Wassabi going.

When Roi left in 2016 to focus on Guava Juice, Alex continued running the channel. Personal vlogs and challenges became part of the mix alongside comedy. He also acted in Escape the Night as The Novelist and later The Aviator, and played Luke Chiba in Hulu’s Light as a Feather in 2019.

Beyond the sketches.

Alex won his March 2022 boxing match against Deji and beat iDubbbz in the Creator Clash 2 main event in April 2023. He and Roi later co-hosted the Spicy Fruit podcast, which ran from 2024 to its final episode in July 2026.

Songs with a personal story.

In 2025, Alex released Ever Mine and Chance On Love, the latter featuring Alexxis Lemire. He told The Knot that he wrote Ever Mine for her father and used the Chance On Love video shoot to surprise Alexxis with a proposal. His 2026 vlogs have followed wedding preparations, a move to North Carolina, and trips to Abu Dhabi and Indonesia.
