Mini bio

A creative start.

Alina grew up in Ukraine and moved to Finland in 2014. In her account of starting a clothing line, she recalls being turned away when she tried to apply to a fashion university. She went on to study design and architecture, working part time as a fashion photographer with her parents’ old camera.

Finding an audience.

After moving to Finland, she found it harder to continue fashion photography. She began sharing her own outfits online instead. Followers asked about the secondhand pieces she altered and the clothes she made herself. Her office outfits became a calling card, bringing her into British Vogue’s discussion of modern workwear.

Making the skirt real.

A frill skirt she first made from a curtain became the starting point for her first limited clothing drop. In July 2026, she wrote about funding it alongside her full-time job, finding a small Italian factory and shipping the orders herself. She also writes a newsletter about dressing for work, personal style and the clothes she keeps wearing.
