How it started.
Amber grew up in Wisconsin. In her first-person Women's Health story, she traced her decision to change her habits to struggling up the stairs with groceries in May 2018. She began her weight-loss journey later that month.
Finding her audience.
She started sharing her progress on Instagram in 2018. She told The Business News that her 2020 Women's Health feature brought nearly 15,000 new followers in a day. After losing her job during the pandemic, she had more time to post, and creating content became her full-time work.
Helping others.
Her AMBitious Coaching service offers personalized workout and meal plans, in-app support and habit building. Alongside coaching, she shares food ideas, reflections on weight loss and glimpses of everyday life. In 2026, she appeared on Impact Junkies under the name Amber Dosdos to discuss her story and business.
