Mini bio
How it started.
Andrea discovered Jan Švankmajer’s stop-motion films while working in a video store in high school. She experimented with animation in her college dorm, then gradually built a freelance practice alongside other jobs. She taught herself both animation and needle felting.
The little kitchen that traveled.
Cooking with Wool went viral in 2019 and helped her move into branded content. Her miniature cooking scenes turn soft wool into familiar food, from breakfast ingredients to pasta, with each movement built a frame at a time.
Stories beyond the kitchen.
She co-directed the animated documentary Fear with Dawn Dreyer, which had its world premiere at Tribeca in 2016. With illustrator Phoebe Wahl, she made Tulip, a Thumbelina adaptation that gives its young heroine room to explore and find belonging beyond a traditional romance ending.
A world you can play.
Andrea founded Wooly Games to make Feltopia. The current game follows Sky, a felter in training with her grandmother’s special needle, through a woolly world of puzzles and landscapes. Its Steam release date remains to be announced.
