Mini bio

How it started.

Andrew and his younger brother Michael built Bradford & Reed, starting with an email newsletter and then finding success with online greeting cards. Michael handled development while Andrew sold advertising. They sold the business’s properties in 2003 after Andrew burned out.

Finding the interviews.

In 2004, Andrew began speaking at colleges and helping other entrepreneurs. That grew into Mixergy events, followed by an invitation-site detour. Interviews with people who attended the events became the work he loved. He credits Neil Patel with encouraging him to share his own business story, which helped Mixergy gain traction.

Sharing the craft.

Mixergy grew into a library of more than 2,000 founder interviews. Andrew’s 2021 book, Stop Asking Questions, shares what he learned about leading interviews and learning from other people.

What fans can follow now.

On The Next New Thing, Andrew asks builders to show their AI workflows on screen. The channel is presented by Zapier and focuses on building profitable AI startups.
