Mini bio
How it started.
Anthony built smosh.com when he was 14 in 2002. He and his best friend Ian Hecox posted lip-sync videos there before moving to YouTube in 2005. Their Pokémon theme video became an early breakout, and they went on to make the sketches that fans associate with Smosh.
Finding his own questions.
After leaving Smosh in 2017, Anthony built an interview format around listening to people whose experiences are often misunderstood. I Spent a Day With… puts creators and guests from different communities at the center of the conversation. In 2020, he launched Pressalike Productions to develop unscripted work.
Coming back together.
Anthony and Ian announced their purchase of a majority stake in Smosh in June 2023. In May 2025, Anthony brought his channel and Pressalike under the Smosh umbrella as Smosh Alike, connecting his interview work with the comedy company he helped start.
