Mini bio
How it started.
Liza grew up in Houston and began posting comedy to Vine in 2013. Short sketches led to YouTube, where recurring characters, puns and physical comedy became familiar parts of the work.
Finding a stage.
After a year studying business marketing at the University of Houston, Liza moved to Los Angeles. In an interview with the university, Liza described online videos as a place to test characters and jokes. Fans came to know creations such as Helga and Jet Packinski III.
Building a show.
Liza co-created, executive-produced and starred in Liza on Demand, a YouTube comedy about juggling gig jobs that ran from 2018 to 2021. Hosting Nickelodeon’s Double Dare added a different kind of screen work.
From sketches to film.
Work It cast Liza as dancer Jasmine Hale. Film credits later included A Family Affair, the voice of Arcee in Transformers: Rise of the Beasts and Detective Barnes in The Naked Gun. The move into acting is also a recurring subject in Liza’s interviews.
