Mini bio
How it started.
Antonino grew up in Ticciano, near Vico Equense in Campania. His grandmother’s cooking and visits to his chef father’s professional kitchens helped set his course. He entered hotel school in 1989.
A home on Lake Orta.
In 1999, he and Cinzia Primatesta took on Villa Crespi on Lake Orta. His cooking carries memories of Campania into Piedmont. The restaurant received its third Michelin star in November 2022, for the 2023 guide.
From the kitchen to the screen.
Cucine da incubo brought him to television in 2013. He joined MasterChef Italia as a judge in 2015. His books also bring his cooking home: La cucina di famiglia, published in 2021, shares 40 recipes.
